My passion for the arts, mainly drawing, emerged at a tender age. Yet, this artistic inclination was set aside for many years to pursue other academic avenues, namely materials engineering and philosophy. While these disciplines are scarcely related to the path of a luthier, they are undoubtedly intertwined with my journey, shaping the lens through which I view the craft, its processes, and its materials.
Lutherie, ultimately, came not by conscious choice but by an intrinsic need to return to my original calling. I took my first steps in 2020 and 2021, guided by specialized courses. In 2022, I had the honor of being accepted as an apprentice under the esteemed luthier Antonio Tessarin, one of the foremost figures in Brazilian lutherie.
Master Tessarin generously offered me not only his profound knowledge and extensive experience but, above all, his cherished friendship. Undoubtedly, the opportunity to share the workbench with such a distinguished master remains the most significant experience of my professional life.
